Description:
Chaozhou’s Phoenix Mountain is home to four legendary mother tea trees of the Song Zhong Dancong variety. These ancient trees, estimated to be 500–700 years old, are the pride of the region: Huang Zhi Xiang and Zhi Lan Xiang from Wudong Lizaiping, Huang Zhi Xiang from Fengxi Da'an Ancient Tea Garden, and Mi Lan Xiang from Wudong Shitoujiao. Due to their extremely limited yield and high value, teas from these trees rarely, if ever, enter the general market.
The Song Zhong Mi Lan Xiang Dancong we currently offer is crafted from spring tea leaves sourced from the first-generation tea trees propagated by cuttings from the Shitoujiao Mi Lan Xiang mother tree. These leaves have been skillfully hand-processed by a master tea maker with decades of experience in crafting Phoenix Dancong.
The dry leaves are tightly twisted, lustrous, and exhibit a dark brown color with reddish edges. The aroma is exquisitely high and lasting, the liquor is bright orange-yellow and crystal-clear, and the flavor is remarkably rich, sweet, and smooth. It delivers a fast and powerful hui gan (returning sweetness) and an intense salivating effect. Additionally, it’s highly resistant to multiple infusions.
This is a rare and extraordinary tea, not to be missed by true tea enthusiasts!
