Description:
The fanggu teapot is one of the classic shapes of Yixing purple clay teapots. It is said to have been originally created by Shao Daheng during the Qing Dynasty. The original intention was to model the teapot after a drum shape. Due to its rounded and grand design with smooth and flowing lines, it became highly popular and widely imitated by later generations, eventually forming the fanggu teapot shape we know today.
