Description:
Chaqing is the largest tea-producing village in the Bangbing tea area along the Xiaoheijiang River in Shuangjiang County, Yunnan Province. It has a place name in Dai language, Namoyang, which means the place where the ancestors left paddy fields. Chaqing is an ancient village, where the Blang people lived at least 800 years ago. There are more than 3,000 mu of old and new tea gardens where is 1,800 meters above sea level surrounding with many small rivers, streams and waterfalls here. It is very cold in winter, but it is a good place to escape the heat in summer.
There are some wild ancient tea trees in the Chaqing virgin forest. These ancient tea trees have a circumference of over 2 meters and the leaves are reddish.
