Description:

Mangfei Natural Village is situated on the edge of the roaring Nujiang River, at the foot of the mountains. It is a renowned village in Yongde County, where ancient tea trees grow in large clusters. It is also one of the birthplaces of tea trees in the world. To this day, Chinese magnolia trees and extensive areas of wild, transitional, and cultivated ancient tea trees still thrive here.

The name "Mangfei" comes from the Dai language, meaning "mountains between valleys". Originally named "Dajian Mountain Village", legend has it that in earlier times, three individuals who went to work in Myanmar contracted pulmonary tuberculosis. Disdained by the village head, they were driven into the mountains and not allowed to return. They survived by foraging fruits and leaves in the mountains to stave off hunger, and they used the "wild tea" found in the mountains as their drink. After some time, their lung infections began to improve, and they realized that the consumption of this "wild tea" had a beneficial effect. They continued to drink this "wild tea" daily, and before long, they made a full recovery. In gratitude for the assistance of the "tea god", the original name "Dajian Mountain Village" was changed to "the village where drinking tea cured pulmonary tuberculosis", eventually shortened to "Mangfei".

"Mangfei Tea, with fragrance like Bingdao, sweetness like Yiwu, and a rhyme like Xigui, boasts a unique tea flavor." Therefore, Mangfei, along with the famous tea mountains of Lincang such as Bingdao, Xigui, and Great Snow Mountain, are collectively known as the "Four Small Dragons of Lincang". Due to its excellent quality, Mangfei Tea was rated as a provincial excellent variety by the Yunnan Tea Science Institute in 1980, named "Mangfei Big Leaf Population".

This Rongshi Mangfei Big Leaf Ancient Tree Tea from 2010 was a star product of the Rongshi brand that year, with a rich flavor and a strong aroma, earning widespread praise from seasoned tea drinkers. It is definitely a tea worth trying!
